Cross-border ethnic relations is an important element of ethnic relations, is one ofthe common social phenomenon in today's world of social life, the subject oftransboundary nation-state in the ethnic and social development must face. Xinjiang islocated on the northwest edge important location. Both sides of that border inXinjiang, the same cross-border ethnic co-existence with neighboring Central Asiancountries At this stage, properly deal with the German cross-border ethnic relations,the building of harmony and stability in Xinjiang, not only of academic interest, butalso has practical significance. Specifically, properly handle cross-border ethnicrelations, not only to the contents of the rich national academic disciplines, isconducive to the harmonious development of the domestic inter-ethnic relations, butalso conducive to the vigorous development of social undertakings in Xinjiang, moreconducive to social stability in Xinjiang. In addition, it is important to note that sucha new feature appears, cross-border ethnic relations, if not handled properly, willtrigger a series of cross-border ethnic issues, and the cross-border ethnic issues hasbecome the universal tool of the outside of the ethnic separatist forces and anti-Chinaelements in the hands of, they are often the name of the guise of cross-border ethnicissues, on the surface of interest, but in reality for the nation of the same family ofcross-border to disrupt the unity and stability in Xinjiang's excellent situation in a vainattempt to split Xinjiang. Thus, from the vantage point of national security strategy,properly handle cross-border ethnic relations research on a particularly importantposition, and lay a solid social foundation for stability in Xinjiang.Cross-border ethnic relations is a national, if not handled properly, it will cause anegative impact on China's various undertakings. Specifically, the consequencescaused by a series of cross-border ethnic issues, when cross-border ethnic issuesbecome serious, it is not only often induce territorial disputes and harm nationalsovereignty, but also provided an excuse for intervention and involvement of external forces, leading to regional instability and unrest. In short, in the current study toproperly handle cross-border ethnic relations, the need to maintain social stability inXinjiang, but also the need to safeguard national stability.
