Research On The Present Conditions Of Sports And Counter-plans Of The Traditional Sports Item Schools In Western China

Traditional Sports Item School(sTSIS) in China is the basic link for the governing system of sports training. The development of TSIS not only plays a decisive role in popularizing on mass sports activities, enhancing on physical quality and improving in level of sport technologies all over the school, but also makes a contribution to cultivate the outstanding sport qualified personnel in reserve. In China's western region including Inner Mongolia, Shanxi , Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai, Sichuan, Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan, Guangxi, Xinjiang and the Tibet twelve provincial and municipal (regional),which account for our administrative area 1/3,While western region of TSIS have a total number (2009) 3028,which accounted for TSIS 1/5.Western TSIS of development, in certain extent, closely link with western athletic sports development,which also greatly restrict the marching pace from sport power in size to sport power in strength. Thus then ,the studying of TSIS in western region not only satisfy the needs of upgrading western athletic sports development level, but also reach the goal of"sport power in strength"early. The paper introduces the means of investigation ,the document and material, the interview, the mathematical statistics ,the comparative analysis, investigating and analyzing present sports work condition of TSIS in western region(except Tibet), is to offer some suitable and relevant suggestion for the development and reform of TSIS in western region.The main conclusions of this study are as follows: The sports items of TSIS have arranged unreasonable;the equipment rate of PE teachers is low, but much opportunity for taking part in various trainings, salary level is reasonable, but subsidies and reward is not optimistic; PE times per week in middle and primary school is seriously insufficient, Extracurricular sports activities are various forms, most schools have Big Break, the time is in commonly 30 minutes; More than half the school sports funds cannot satisfy the needs of various kinds of sports activities, and sources of funds single channel, most schools sports facility can satisfy various kinds of sports activities ;Most schools sports training time and frequency below the national level; the athletes-selecting is difficult, the number of participating training is large; school's competition are less held, schools have less opportunity to participate various competition outside, Athletes level is low, and the universities is the main transmission channels; Part of the school leaders pay little of attention to sports work, Part of the school have no "sports management system"; Lack sports funds , undertaking too much pressure of entering a higher school,lack competition chance, parents oppose, sports equipment shortages, leaders pay little attention, is the main factors that restrict western TSIS development .According to the problems of western region TSIS, the paper brings forward some strategies:(1) to strengthen attention to the work of TSIS.(2) the government should be strengthen sports work of funds.(3) to increase the numbers of PE teachers, intensify training, improve their treatment.(4) to form a competition system for TSIS in western, and broaden competing chances. (5)to strengthen management and improve the management mechanism.
