Traditional Sports Item Schools in China is the basic link for the governing system of sports training. The development of Traditional Sports Item Schools not only plays a decisive role in popularizing on mass sports activities, enhancing on physical quality and improving in level of sport technologies all over the school but also makes a contribution to cultivate the outstanding sport qualified personnel in reserve and to develop the project between sports and education. As the capital in China, Beijing is also a center of politics, economy and culture where is affluent in material and civilization. Because of this, Beijing is taken as one of the earliest area where established Traditional Sports Items Schools in China. There are193 Traditional Sports Item Schools in Beijing which are named of base athletic talented reserves'training of China. Meanwhile, post Olympics era, on the basis of Our values and beliefs that relate to people-oriented to deal with the relationship between "popularization and advancement" that is to say how to operate on and manage to Traditional Sports Item Schools in Beijing is drawing the society's attention day by day. The paper introduces the means of document and material, the investigation, the interview, the mathematical statistics to analysis the transition state for the post Olympics era of present condition of Traditional Sports Item Schools in Beijing and is to offer some suitable and relevant suggestion for the development and reform of Traditional Sports Items Schools in Beijing.The result of research is as follow:the management system in Traditional Sports Item Schools in Beijing is not yet perfect; The sports items have arranged deficiently and it is lack in reasonable plan; The trainer'special teaching level is keeping lowly and being lack in trainer's inspection system and the assessment criteria; The quality of training is not qualified; The opportunities of participation the event and the sports event types are becoming decreasingly and also few social support leads a pessimistic situation for development, etc. According to the practice problem in the process of development and reform, the paper brings forward some strategies:(1) To set up the comprehensive philosophy to develop the educational issue and to implement to the belief of people foremost.(2) To improve the management system for coach's work in order to update coaches' special quality and capability by means of scientific methods.(3) To build the network of sports training that is named of "combination of sports and education" at the aim of developing the quality of students and cultivating high-level reservation-sports talent and dispatching training first-class professional and technical personnel for Beijing.(4) To adjust the layout of sport items and deal with the problem of succession of the new to the old for people of all age.(5) To continue optimize the spots event system in school and abstract the social financial investment for offering more and more opportunity attending sports competition.(6) To make cooperation with the social enterprise and strength the financial power in order to highlight the quality of training by means of introduce the system of pay-for-performance and subsidy for school athletes.(7) The superior departments should pay more attention to establish the system of evaluation for traditional sports project schools in Beijing and continue to carry out strictly. In a word, we look forward to providing some reference of laying down the policy and speed up the execution for Traditional Sports Item Schools and the superior departments in Beijing.
