A Research Into The Development Of The Olympic In Vietnam In The Global Intergration Process

It has been more than a decade (1894-2011) since the recovery of modern Olympic by Pierre De Coubertin (1863-1937), the target of the Olympic has been strongly developed. Sport has been supported for the balanced development of human beings and a peaceful world, in which personal dignity is highly respected and protected. The Olympic is targeted at building a peaceful and better world by educating the new generation sports measures without discrimination, following Olympic spirit. That spirit requires mutual sympathy, friendship and unity.The Olympic ideal is a song of mutual altruism and understanding among different nations and cultures. It is also humanism which solves conflicts, erases hatred and makes people get closer. In another words, the Olympic ideal is a philosophy of life regardless of differences in culture, politics, society and concepts. It associates and developes all elements of bodies and spirits in a balanced way. It combines culture with education. The Olympic ideal is targeted to a way of living happily basing on efforts, educations basing on good models and respect of common morals. That ideal has been creating a united family with one common purpose in a global movement named the Olympic.Nowadays, sport is a part of culture and society, contributing a remarkable role in the national development. In Vietnam, the Olympic has confirmed its role in the construction and protection of the nation. Achievements in the Olympic has affirmed the sound concept and line of our Party to develop sports in Vietnam, met the demands and aspirations of people and corresponded with the requirements and responsibilities of different evolutionary periods. Together with the international Olympic movement, after 35 years of shaping and development, the regional and international contributions of Olympic in Vietnam has been highly estimated by the international Olympic.This research is an estimation into the development of the Olympic since its establishment until now. It also investigates the orientation and plans to develop the Olympic movements through tactics and targets of developing Sport in Vietnam. Especially, the ideal of the Olympic is also lively analysed and estimated.The content of the research is divided into 6 parts.Part 1:The establishment of the Vietnam Olympic Committee in details through the history of the Sport and the Olympic in Vietnam. The development of the Olympic in Vietnam in such aspects:public sports, elite sports (high-performance sports) and international relationship. Public sports brings physical health to human beings, helps refine body and intention. Elite sports raises national prestige internationally. Thanks to good international relationship, the Vietnam Olympic Committee is considered as one of the three typical nations of the Olympic movement.Part 2:To better illustrate the development of the Olympic in Vietnam, this part focuses on the propagation of the Olympic in Vietnam through means of public media and public sports and the popularisation of the Olympic ideal in schools.Part 3:The education of the Olympic ideal for high-performance athletes is mentioned. Every athlete should take the Olympic ideal as his/her spiritual motivation to raises their awareness and passion to pratice to win the victory.Part 4:This part studies the organization model of the international Olympic and the participation in regional, continential and international sports events to organise the National Games, South East Asian Games (SEA Games) and Asian Games (ASIAD) effectively in Vietnam. This is an important duty of Vietnam Olympic Committee to contribute to the development of sport activities in Vietnam and publicize the image of Vietnamese internationally.Part 5:Basing on the theoretical and pratical foundation of Vietnam, oriented development of the Olympic in Vietnam, especially the target of sports development to 2020 is investigated.Part 6:The target of development of Sports and measures taken to develop the Olympic in Vietnam.The conclusion confirms the importance of the Vietnam Olympic in the career of construction of the nation in order to implement the target of the Communist Party:"Strong country with wealthy people and a fair and civilized society "In the next ten years, when the economy has reach the stable speed of development, the culture and society associates well with the economic development and people life is improved, sports level in Vietnam also gained progress. The Vietnam Olympic will also collect remarkable achievements. These achievements will be considered as a means of international relationship of the Communist Party and Vietnam Government to develop friendship, mutual understanding between Vietnam and other nations in the process of global intergration.
