Significance crisis is the essential of modern education crisis, and it roots in the traditional epistemology philosophy. Traditional epistemology philosophy has promoted the science and technology into prosperity, but also made modern people into human as instruments or tools. It follows essentialism route, with a rational thought as subject-object dual opposite's way to study and interpret education. Education gave up cross-examining the ontology of itself, and rejects the essence value of education ontology education as well. This has make education practice into alienation condition and education and the people in it become a physical existence. The significance of education was covered by t the traditional epistemology philosophy. The loss of significance of life, curriculum and teaching, study and so on, was in serious danger.Contemporary existence philosophy is the essence of philosophical based on the contemporary living condition created by China theorists after the thoroughly studying western traditional philosophy, modern and postmodern philosophy; creatively understanding and explaining Marxist philosophy; integrating the historical and cultural traditions. In the view of existence philosophy, significance is the relationship of between the things we met and our life existence. Significance of existence philosophy means a person who existing, that is to say significance means a people who can surmount all obstacles and can create the self-understanding and self-verification. It is shown as the filling of spirit, outburst of life vitality, self quality and transcendence of the free creation surpass of self-quality, free creativity of the independence, etc. Existence philosophy corroborated that the existence of human is one of significance. It advocates reconstructing education in an ontological height, and claim that education should return ontology of existence to save the education significance.This paper is divided into five parts:The first part elicits that from the crisis of education significance it is necessity for education to return ontology of existence, makes clear the core concepts:existence, existence philosophy, significance. The second part inspected the academic resources of existence philosophy from western traditional philosophy, modern western philosophy, traditional Chinese culture and Marxist. The third part expounds the basic viewpoint of existence education philosophy of survival, mainly discusses the characteristics of existence as education ontology:timeliness, significance and experiential. Next is discussed emphatically the enlightenment for education significance construction from the significance. The fourth par Criticizes alienation conditions in Education practice by existence thoughts. The fifth part thinks about how to use existence philosophy to save significance from the root.
