Motivation plays an important part in English Learning of senior students, so inspiring and keeping the motivation is very necessary. The current curriculum also especially focuses on inspiring the learning interest, and transforming it into stable learning motivation. The formative assessment depends on the study, the learners and the process of study, therefore, it can test, judge and inspire the motivation in learning English and encourage the students to learning English better.The thesis is based on the characteristics of my school students and the condition of English teaching through applying the assessment strategies about 14 weeks by the questionnaires, interview or conference, and comparison methods, in order to find the effects of the formative assessment on the senior students'motivation in learning English. I assess the students'process and behaviors through the strategy of formative assessment, and finally demonstrate the hypothesis, that is, the formative assessment is very useful to the motivation in learning English.The research verifies the effects of the formative assessment on the senior students' motivation in learning English, through the current theory motivation and assessment by the strategy of formative assessment. It solves the problems of weak motivation, improve and better the assessment of senior students'English learning and put suitable suggestions of enhancing the quality of English teaching. The research results and analysis indicate that carrying the formative assessment is essential to the senior students' English learning and stimulate the motivation in learning English. |
