With the increasing of Chinese international status, westerners are more and more interested in Chinese culture. On the other side, our English learners want to learn more culture loaded words with Chinese characteristics to introduce Chinese culture. Drived by these two aspects, the localization of English in China is imperative. According to Criteria of Senior High School English Curriculum (Curriculum Criteria,2003), senior high school EFL learners are required to have good command of linguistic knowledge, meanwhile acquire profound knowledge of culture in relation to native culture and target culture. As a matter of fact, however, people have been attaching great importance to target culture, native culture has not been given adequate emphasis on. As a result, many of senior high school EFL learners have difficulty expressing the contents about his or her own culture in English appropriately, that is, so-called"Native Culture's Aphasia".Considering textbooks are the most significant medium of language and culture input in EFL classroom teaching in senior high schools, integrating the native culture into English material, especially textbooks, is not blamable but necessary. Basing on native culture studies abroad and at home, this thesis is to sort out the two problems: What is the latest state of native culture's fatigue phenomenon; Is there any problem in integrating the native culture into English material; How to solve these problem.The research of Advance with English presents 3 points: The quantity of text containing native culture is zero; The quantity of culture loaded words is limited; The supply and the application of native culture are not equal; The way to apply culture loaded words is boring.Culture loaded words with Chinese characteristics are not taken seriously in culture teaching, so the thesis gives some advice on materials writing and design to solve these problems, which are as follows: Vocabulary screening strategies; Vocabulary acculturation strategies; Vocabulary application strategies; Testing standard; Compiling standard and advice for teachers.
