The right heel kick is one of the high level movements of Taiji which includes two synchronous movements:Balance on single straight leg and Heel Kick. The right heel kick has a tight relation with the capability of lower limbs muscles, the balance on single straight leg and the action of heel kick and the lower limb joints. First the balance on single straight leg should be kept well then the heel kick could be undertake well, meanwhile, controlling the body stability and heel kick should be carried out at the same time.Research ObjectivesTo analyze the plantar pressure, surface electromyography characteristics of the lower limbs and joints movement types of both the beginners and practitioners when they undertake the right heel kick movements, we will find the diversity of different test specs and deeply pursuing the reasons leading to this diversity, based on which we can provide guidelines and theory basis for Taiji, what'd more it can promote the effects of Taiji on keeping body healthy and body balance ability so as to enrich our ethnic traditional sports more scientific understanding. Meanwhile, through the experiment which combines the plantar, SEMG and camera shooting, we can analyze precisely all parts of the action so that we can reach an related and effective assessment which can contribute to the perfect movement and a best sport score.Research methodsBased on the footscan insole system, MegaWin ME6000 EMG and SIMIĀ°motion 7.50, we take the right heel kick of Taiji as an example, study and test on the aspect of plantar pressure, lower limbs movements and Joints angle with the knowledge of Biomechanics. Research Conclusions1.In the both groups, there are some differences of the plantar pressure of the supporting leg. The supporting plantar pressure peak value appears at the beginning of the knee lifting period. When doing Taiji, we should strengthen the effect and feedback of the tactile receptor of the metatarsophalangeal joints the first so that it can improve you ability of balancing.2.The differences lie on the duration and the time when the muscle action of the supporting leg improves for the two groups. When kicking, the differences mainly lie in the muscle actions of the low limbs. So we can protect the body gravity by increasing movement range of the related muscles of the supporting leg to confront the resistant force from kicking so that it can keep a main stability of the body during the movement.3.There are some differences of the both groups in their movement shape and range of both the supporting leg and action leg. In the adjusting phase of the right heel kick, there is an phenomenon of overshot-retracement happened to the practitioners, that means, an connecting fast flexion appears on the three joints of hip, knee and ankle so that that body gravity descends and then follows a little rise up. But in the stable stage, the practitioners control and adjust the body balance by the movement of hip and ankle. And the beginners have no early control and adjustment. They use the natural balance ability from cooperation between hip and ankle of human body when standing on single leg, so they can not get a real stability during the movement. This kinds of strategy can not keep the action finished in a stable situation so it decreases the movement quality as well as the following actions.4.The neuromuscular control systems of the two groups are different. We find that the practitioners have the feed forward balance control skill, which can control and adjust the action when the action is disturbed or interfered. This kind of skill can help to keep the smooth of the next movement's start and finish and promote the development of the techniques of the movements.
