Domestic And Abroad Elite Rhythmic Gymnastics Individual Research On Difficulty Movement Of Athletes

Athletics rhythmic gymnastics is the Olympic sport which merges the graceful body movements and equipment movements of group or individual athletes together. Therefore it ranks among the Olympic Games' most competitive and artistic sports. China has won the 3rd place in the International Rhythmic Athletics Gymnastics Invitational Tournament—"Good Luck Beijing", 2007. In Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, China's artistic gymnastics athletes lived up to expectations and won a silver medal in group all-around competition for the first time, achieving a historic breakthrough in Olympic medals.Nowadays the qualities of Chinese rhythmic gymnastics in group competition have being improving continuously. The implementation of new rules also brings about new challenges and opportunities. However, the individual events of the sport failed to gain a desired achievement.Ribbon gymnastics is one of the four competing individual events within the period of 2009-2012.According to the relevant information and documentations, ribbon gymnastics is the weakest in all these individual events.Thus, this research selects--"the survey of qualities of excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics in individual events"as the object of the study. By using the complete ribbon gymnastics sets of the top three rhythmic gymnasts domestic and abroad of the First Rhythmic World Championships as comparison objects, I applied the methods of documentary data, video analysis, mathematical statistics, contrast statistics and interviewing experts while doing the research.Through the insight comparison of the domestic and abroad athletes'stunners, art layouts, movement quality and other aspects, the gaps between them can be easily found. The differences and gaps found can provide theoretical references to the development and exercises of ribbon gymnastics. Also they can point out the correct direction of the progress in ribbon gymnastics, choose correct development train of thought, and ultimately win the Olympic gold medal as the zero breakthrough in the coming future.utilization.The research includes: 1. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, the difference of choosing how many stunners to take is not so obvious, which shows that the requirements for stunner amounts in the new regulation have been better perceived by coaches in home and abroad.2. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, the difference of distributing the stunners is obvious. In China, less valued movements, instead of difficult ones, are chosen in the third phase, indicating that domestic athletes lack for energy which leads to the centralization of stunners in 2/3 of the whole set.3. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, the difference of choosing the value of the stunner is obvious. Foreign athletes choose their stunners ranging from Group C (0.3) to Group I (0.9) and 1.0 also. The distribution is even. While domestic athletes choose their stunners especially in the scope of Group C (0.3) to Group E (0.5) and Group F (0.6) to Group G (0.7) which turns out to be that the overall score foreign athletes choose is higher than that of domestic athletes and indicates that foreign athletes take advantage over domestic athletes whether from physical aspect or technical aspect.4. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, reasons accounting for domestic athletes being far behind foreign athletes are under-standard performances in leapfrog, landing and postures in air.5. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, the main problem lying in the stunner is the imperfect rotation degree including turns and postures, etc. Thus, more attention should be paid to self control ability during the rotation process. Only with the improvement of rotation skill, the overall performance of ribbon gymnastic could be enhanced, thus consequently helping domestic athletes catch up with foreign athletes.6. In the whole set of ribbon gymnastic in excellent domestic and abroad artistic gymnastics, stunners combined with facilities are the drawbacks of domestic athletes which reflects several weak points like lack of proficiency, creativity and artistic appreciation.
