| The 16th Men's basketball team World Championship has already come to an end, but left the Chinese basketball fans a great many associations and afterthoughts. The performances of China men's basketball team are not so satisfactory, but from the whole process we can see their performances made Chinese basketball fans feel comforted. In the last decade, it's the first time that the Chinese team took part in the World championship without the participation of Yao Ming. Especially, the absence of both Yao Ming and ZhuFangyu, as well as many other capitals of this football team makes it thought to have a poor or even the poorest prospect by the outside world. Even a great many people predicted that this team even could hardly have a chance to win. But we still can see that the spirit of strong unity, struggle and persistence of every team members deeply moved every basketball fans and won their respects with the leadership of both Yi Jianlian and Wang Zhizhi. This team took on an entirely new look in the world Championship and became one of the top 16 teams with a performance of 1-4.However, the improvements of their spirit and new look cannot replace the improvement of the real abilities of this team and its members. It's required that every team members should improve their strategies if they want their team to become members of the world top basketball teams. With the declaration of retirement of Yaoming and Wangzhizhi's growing age, China has come into a new era of Yaoming and its inside-out basketball strategy is losing its advantages. At the same time, Yi Jianlian, as the No. one basketball player of China need to take more responsibilities and his performance has a direct influence on the Chinese team's achievements .From this competition, we can see that there is still a big gap between the Power Forwards of China and the other world strong basketball teams and the former's performance is hard to be satisfactory. In order to further improve their strength and to narrow the gap and to meet the great demands of the 2012 London Olympic Games and the long-run development of our team, it's extremely essential to do some research on our Power Forwards.This paper mainly focuses on dealing with the statistics, analysis, and comparison of the matches taken part by the Power Forwards of the Chinese team and their rivals through the research methods of literature, expert interviews, questionnaire, film and video and Mathematical Statistics, which let us have a clear understanding of the attack characteristics of the current Power Forwards.The research results are as follows:(1)The is an obvious gap between the Chinese Power Forwards and their rivals with a remarkable gap in Quetelet index and a gap in ages as well as a gap between the physiques of the Chinese Power Forwards and their Reserve squads.(2)The attacks of Chinese Power Forwards mainly takes the form of near zone, the middle area ranking second and the remote area last, but the ball receiving is just the opposite and they seldom throw and receive the ball in the remote area.(3)The Chinese Power Forwards mainly score in the near area and are better in the middle area, but have a remarkable gap between them and their rivals in the remote three-point shot area. And they have a common importance in score proportion, but they are different in the ways that they use to score, especially the Chinese Power Forwards'ways are comparatively single and have a remarkable gap between them in shooting, follow-up shot, and penetration shot, as well as Second chance points, but better at penalty shot than their rivals. And they have a great gap between them and their Reserve squads in scoring.(4)The Chinese Power Forwards have great differences in passing and receiving balls and their ways are not reasonable enough. They have remarkable differences in penetration shot fouls and are better at controlling the average foul of each match and weak in assist attacks, which shows that there is a great gap between them and their rivals in controlling balls.(5)The Chinese Power Forwards and their rivals have no differences in robbing the crickets.(6)The basic cooperation strategies of the Chinese Power Forwards and their rivals mainly take the forms of cover and support with assistance of other forms of cooperation. They have a remarkable difference in cover and support as well as in the height of fast break scoring. The Chinese Power Forwards have an insufficient capability in cooperation and fall behind their rivals in the numbers of all kinds of cooperation. Suggestions:(1)Establishing a thorough system of cultivating reserve basketball players and renewing cultivating concepts; Focusing on the development of the players'early stage skills and characteristics.(2)Accomplishing the task of replacing the new and old Power Forwards; Strengthening the cultivation of reserve squads; Improving age structure.(3)Strengthening the training of the Chinese Power Forwards; Employing specific fitness experts; Taking advantage of scientific methods to improve their capabilities of physical confrontations, speed and explosiveness.(4)Paying attention to the players'training of fast moving, passing and receiving balls and penetration ability; Improving the rationality of the Power Forwards'actions of fighting attacks; Strengthening the training of middle and remote area shots.(5)Doing more communication and study in basketball area and keeping the direction of basketball development; Renewing basketball concepts in time and building up strategic methods of Chinese men's basketball team characters.(6)Absorbing advanced teaching ideas and training skills; Improving the all-round strength of our country's men's basketball team. |
