With the deepening of the curriculum reform, research on inequality matters is in more and more eager need. The introduction and the ways of presentation of inequality in senior high school curriculum are well worthy of researching. Only when the teachers really understand the content of inequality and the system and features of the editing of the textbooks can they better conduct teaching.This paper compares and studying the features of the two versions of mathematics textbooks, that is Version 2003 and Version 2007, published by People's Education Press, interviews teachers who have use the two versions in their teaching to gather their views on the two versions and the inequality parts of the two versions, and finally offers some suggestions on the editing of textbooks and teaching.This paper is divided into the following parts:Part 1:Introduction According to the current situation of researches on textbooks home and abroad and the changes of inequality content in senior high school mathematics in the context of new curriculum, it describes the evidence for choosing the topic and research background,as well as methods and significance of the research.Part 2:Chapter 2 and 3 and 4 are included. Chapter 2 and 3 is about a detailed comparative study of the two versions of mathematics textbooks from the aspects of the conception and features of textbook editing, the arrangement of the text, the design of exercise, etc, Chapter 4 is about interviews of teachers who have used the two versions of textbooks, their mastery of the knowledge of inequality and their views on textbook editing.Part 3:The conclusion and suggestions. The comparison between the designing of the inequality content in the two versions of compulsory textbooks is concluded and suggestions are offered on the editing and selection of the two versions of textbooks.
