Since ancient times, some Chinese people have been continuously migrating to and settling in Vietnam due to political, economic and living reasons that that they have made great contribution to the economic and cultural development of Vietnam. The advanced science and technology, production methods, cultural traditions and business management techniques brought by the Chinese has a profound impact on the Vietnamese society. Now, there are almost 1 million overseas Chinese in Vietnam, accounting for about 1.13% of the total population of Vietnam. The Vietnamese Government considers the overseas Chinese in Vietnam as an ethnic minority group of Vietnam. Most of the overseas Chinese in Vietnam live in Southern Vietnam, especially in Ho Chi Minh City.The overseas Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City are rich and they have a high education level. The education level of overseas Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City, to a certain extent, has reflected the overall education level of overseas Chinese in Vietnam. As time goes by, great changes have been taken places to the overseas Chinese in Vietnam and Ho Chi Minh City(both in positive aspects and negative aspects), especially in economic, social, traditional concepts and education systems. The main aim of this paper is to research the distribution of Chinese schools, school situations, the number of teachers and students, types of teachers and students, nature of schools and educational types.Before this, there is no specific description and evaluation on school education, especially some situations about classroom teaching such as textbooks, teaching aids, teaching techniques, teaching methods, teaching effectiveness and teaching language. Meanwhile, few people have investigated, understood and researched the family education of overseas Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City and what are the differences between the family education for Chinese culture, living, concept, customs of overseas Chinese in Ho Chi Minh City and that of our Chinese people in China. This paper has carried out some investigations in this respect and some introductions and analyses have been presented hereinafter.
