In the future, China's Bilingual education of children is surely become a comprehensive development trend. How to make the children's bilingual education step into scientific and efficient development track is significant. The children's bilingual education should not only conform to the children's physical and psychological and children's language development characteristics, especially with the law of the second language acquisition, but also pay attention to the edification of the children's cultural awareness and training, for playing a positive role in their future study and the world value formation, which are concerned by many educators. This paper has such a practical significance and application value development trend just as this research object and subject. In the study of this subject, the author holds that the children's bilingual education is not only the infusion of letters, pronunciation, grammar and so on, but also pay more attention to the edification of the cultural values. During this process, the classical poetry and its English translation can play a huge role, which is still vacant in the current children's bilingual education. This paper discusses that classical poetry and its translation in bilingual education of young children can effectively penetrate emotion education, effect culture and aesthetic infusion, advocate "humanism" characteristics and "people-oriented" education, which can promote the whole society's quality education.In this thesis, the subject is around the role of the bilingual teaching of a tentative study which the Chinese Classical poems and their English translations of young children play. The main theoretical basis are "Broca District", constructivism theory of cognitive development, children's moral acquisition of the positive transfer function of English and Maslow's "humanism" theory.Firstly, this thesis briefly introduces the present information and international development trends about the present situation of China's Bilingual education. As is known to all, the Learner who are studying foreign language become younger and younger. So, more and more experts think that foreign language learning should start from childhood, because children are more adapted to the bilingual language learning. Secondly, with the research of children's bilingual teaching material revision, this paper argues that there are not enough attention about the significant of the Chinese Classical poems and their English translations in the children's Bilingual teaching. After exploring the feasibility and importance of Chinese Classical poems and their English translations, this paper holds that the teaching method can rise for edification and fun and promote the effect. Based on this, we can form a set of new teaching concept and mode. To implement bilingual teaching, of course, the two languages have different emphasis. But this paper advocates that the Chinese classical poetry teaching should be the bedding of English teaching, and the teaching focus is still on the studying of the English translation of the classical poetry. Based on this model, the author conducted a two-month experiment, and make statistics with the questionnaires for feedback. The data of this experiment and research shows that Chinese Classical poems and their English translations applicated to bilingual teaching really can have the role of edification, fun and promotion.
