More widely used Internet technology makes access to network information resources grow explosively. Internet servers will continue to expand their storage capacity, but after all, is not unlimited expansion of the fundamental way to solve the problem. So, the separation of servers and data storage has become a very good solution that allows servers and storage devices perform their duties, does everything possible to play their role. The network between storage devices and servers can effectively solve rapid expansion of the data. The key of this solution is to ensure fast, efficient and reliable transmission of information between the server and storage devices.In storage networks, FCoE has been considered to have revolutionized the traditional storage networking architectures. FCoE is a complete solution for storage networks, and becomes the dominant storage transport protocol. FCoE allows enterprises to retain the existing FC infrastructure, continue to use existing FC management tools, while helping users make better use of virtualization technology to speed up network throughput, improve overall network performance. Application of FCoE technology can greatly reduce adapters, switches and cables, seamless connectivity to existing LAN and SAN, the effective sharing of high-bandwidth links, the integration of the existing network architecture, which will reduce investment Costs and operating costs to the enterprise development has brought significant economic benefits.At present, most studies for FCoE protocol is simple and obvious, and now mature products are also listed on foreign manufacturers. This article is for FCoE switch of innovative and practical. This paper studies distributed FCoE switch virtual link negotiation module design and implementation.This paper analyzes the FCoE protocol, further detailed studies the virtual link negotiation in FCoE protocol. Firstly, detailed needs analysis for the virtual link negotiation module, identified the specific consultation process, the detailed analysis for negotiation process of the port state transition. And distributed systems support for FCoE protocol virtual link module work to be undertaken by a precise analysis. Secondly, the virtual link of the software module level of decomposition, dividing the sub-modules, identified specific technology solutions and implementation steps.
