Video motion segmentation technology has widely used in image processing and imageunderstanding. Segmentation accuracy directly affects the effectiveness of subsequent tasks.Therefore, it has vital importance. Meanwhile, clustering algorithms are used in motionsegmentation as a common technical method. All in all, the GPCA algorithm will be the core in thisarticle, in line with simple into numerous research ideas, carries out the following several tasks:Static color image segmentation: Firstly, the principle of GPCA will be briefly introduced.GPCA's role is to estimate mixed linear model for data sets. Compared with the traditional singlemodel, this mixed linear model can describe data distribution more accurately. Secondly, Chapter 2includes the color image segmentation using GPCA algorithm, which proves GPCA doing betterjobs than Meanshift algorithm in complex image segmentation. Finally, GPCA was used in licenseplate image segmentation, and compared with Otsu algorithm. The experimental results proveGPCA algorithm improves the correctness of the license plate identification, even if it has a largecomputationalMotion estimation and Motion segmentation: The motion vector has been computed by usingthe image partial derivative, and establishes the multibody motion segmentation model. GPCA hasbeen used to estimate 2-D motion model, detects moving objects and gets motion segmentation.Moreover, via the experiment people will find that the data from using GPCA is more correct thanRANSAC algorithm in motion segmentation. GPCA algorithm has been used again in outdoorvehicle motion segmentation, and then obtained GPCA exercise objects segmentation results. Inshort, this experiment proved that more movement model can get a better segmentation result thansingle movement model.Traffic information detection system: The process of GPCA has been used in the trafficinformation detection system will be discussed in chapter 4. In addition, the abundant movementinformation from the motion estimation by using GPCA algorithm apply to the traffic informationdetection system.In sum, the future research direction will be discussed in this article as well.
