With the rapid progress of information and communication technology, people's lives has undergone enormous changes, especially, the progress of optical communication technology. However,due to transmission of laser in the atmosphere,the interaction of various particles in the atmosphere,resulting in laser atmospheric absorption and atmospheric absorption and atmospheric scattering effects,the inevitable effect of the absorption and scattering,make the laser light power that was received in the optical communication r is not stability.This article is the use of the knowledge that polarization state can modulated laser light intensity, extended to the new variable laser polarization optical devices-liquid crystal variable retarder. Using liquid crystal variable retarder electrical controllability, using AVR microcontroller designed for high-precision LCD drive voltage source to realize the adaptive control of laser beam energy, stable the intensity of laser in atmospheric turbulence.Electric field, the LCD will change the arrangement of molecules on the polarization direction of incident laser line for flexible adjustment of the polarization field of the incident laser energy to achieve adaptive control, so that the light detector receives the laser energy remained stable, tracking system so that the work light detector signal to noise ratio remained stable, so that the whole system to achieve high tracking accuracy.
