As a scientifically managerial tool,video monitoring system is more and more widely applied in all walks of life, which combines audio and video codecs, computer and communications.With the advent of the Internet era,network digital video surveillance has become a kind of trend,corresponding the research and design of video service are also becoming hot spots,which is the core in video monitoring system.One key of the server reaserching is the algorithm,this paper analysed carefully the status of video coding standard on domestic and international,comparied the advantages and disadvantages of the MPEG1/2/4 and H.261/263/264,finally choose the H.264 compressed standard as the video server's core coding technology,which has the characteristics of high compression ratio,low bit-rate,low-latency,network adaptability and so on,which is very suitable for using in the network video surveillance.According to the practical application,for the most time-consuming part——macroblock mode selection and the interframe motion estimated, we proposed a new algorithm-MFMRME-HS,which combined with the multi-resolution,multiple reference frames and hexagonal searching method.Through experimenting,we obtained the similar PNSR and bit-rate comparing with the full searching method and mixed-hexagonal searching method,but the motion estimated time is two times compared with them.The new algorithm greatly reduced the coding complexity and improved the coding efficiency.Using TI's DM642 as the video server-core processor,riching peripheral interfaces for the practical requirement,form a complete video server hardware systems,combined with the features of hardware and the advantages of CCS,through a series of optimization strategies,such as the adjustment of program code,instruction optimization, memory allocation,to successfully ported the encoder to DM642,at the last connected with the client network in PC,can basically constitute a network monitoring system..DM642 video server based on H.264 compressed encoder can realize the function of simultaneously captuing two-way video and one-way audio function,post-transplanted encoder can meet the QCIF image real-time encoding and real-time monitoring requirements of static scenes,effectively reduced the cost,it is easy for code update and software maintenance,has high availability and is easy to spread.Figure [34] Table [10] Reference [56]...
