Research On Digital Resources Construction Of Chinese University Library Based On Performance Evaluation

Digital resources and traditional literature constitute the university library collections, and now digital resources become the leading resource of library. With the change in the form of resource, the need of users is gradually raised to the pursuit of breaking the constraints of time, one-stop personalized service. The great input into digital resources is bound to the corresponding performance return. Based on performance assessment, researching construction of the digital resources in university library is a major academic focus.We make some research on the performance construction of digital resources, and find that foreign scholars and relevant departments develop some performance evaluation indicators, but it is in the immature state and adaptation in our university library is still uncertain. Research of Chinese scholars falls behind the development of digital resources, which mainly focuses on the introduction of foreign research and evaluation methods of research. Therefore, the domestic and foreign scholars have not formed a consistent assessment criteria, and based on this, this article research construction of University Library digital resources results from the performance point of view. Whether the purpose of construction of digital resources can be fully reflected the acquisition of digital resources, the expected value can be demonstrated and s can reflect the features, how degree of development of the self-built resources and how the readers evaluate the services provided by the library, these all belong to this article purpose of the study.In this paper, reference to domestic and foreign research results, based on the combination of performance factors in building digital resources, this paper develops a performance evaluation system of digital resource construction using fuzzy AHP, and we make survey of library users of the six universities. Through statistical analysis of survey results, it describes the effect of the status of the construction of digital resources, and derives the overall building performance ratings, then, analyzes some problems in the construction, and at last,we make some improvement suggestions.This study consists of six parts: introduction, literature review, design of performance evaluation of digital resources construction of university library, study on construction of performance, Countermeasures, and the conclusion. Finally, the study points out the lack of prospects looks ahead the follow-up studies, and puts forward some problems future research should pay attention to.The innovation of this paper is mainly reflected in:(1) Based on the performance evaluation theory, we design a performance evaluation system of digital resources construction. In the reference library of digital resources available at home and abroad Performance Indicators, combining the factors of performance of digital resource construction,we design performance indicators of construction of digital resources and determine the levels of indicators weight using the fuzzy analytic hierarchy process, thus forming a performance evaluation system of digital resource construction. The first level indicators include indicators of the acquisition of digital resources, indicators of self-built characteristic digital resources, the site targets organizations and services indicators.(2) According to the performance evaluation indicators of construction of digital resources,, we design the questionnaire, access and analyze statistics through the actual research data,examine the performance of digital resources construction of university library, and study the status of construction of digital resources and weak link.(3) Based on the evaluation results, we proposed countermeasures on how to improve the performance, to resolve the problem in the process of constructing digital resources.
