With the rapid development of Internet, as a form of electronic commerce, Online shoppping gradually become a new business model and idea depending on its high efficiency and low cost advantage. Online shopping system is a kind of interactive commercial informational system, with it users and business provider can complete the transaction easily. It is the one that makes our lives be better.A electronic commerce site was designed in this text. It developped as a online shopping system based on SQL Server2000 as the database development platform, and tomcat information service as application server, and JSP technology. The system was devided into two parts: front part and back part. Front part is used by customers, and it includes merchandise booth, shopping cart, checkout, membership management, mall bulletin and order inquires, product inquires and so on. Back part is used by administrators. The main function of this part is to manage the basic data on the mall effectively. It includes background login, commodity settings, members setting, order setting, administers setting, linking information setting and notice setting.
