| Digital Campus is one of the most important targets of campus modernization in the 21st century, it is also an important means of the competitiveness promotion, expand and extend the school influence. The construction of the campus card system is not only the basic projects for information collection and services of Digital Campus, but also the inevitable trend of campus information developmentIn this thesis, the concepts of Campus Card System in Digital Campus are introduced in the first. Than put forward the application and characteristics of Fingerprint Identification System. Secondly, main structure of Campus Card System and its various applications mad a general introduction.Thirdly, a simple Campus Card System based on Visual Basic is designed, each module interface and function of this system is introduced. In the last part, the design principles of smart card system, card and reader structure, communication theory, the application of fingerprint identification, and system security policies are detailed explained. The system facilitates the unified management of the school, the characteristics of multi-purpose card greatly facilitate the students and teachers'learning and life meanwhile.
