A Design And Implement Of Database Automated Functional Testing

In this thesis, it takes the automated functional testing for DBMS as its background. Based on the basis researching of the related technologies, a muti-platform automated functional testing framework for DBMS is designed. And a application system under the framework against ASE (Adaptive Server Enterprise, Sybase company database product) is implemented. This research integrate theories including automated software testing, test framework and technologies such as test framework protocol, test script language in DBMS automated functional testing. According to the DBMS functional test requirements, the framework was designed. It comprise of framework structure, automated process flow control, test case control module, test case code extension module, system resource management module, operating system functional control module and Database connection management module. Finally, all these modules implemented and combined as a system against ASE database.This automated test framework can be used against different DBMS products, in which to construct different automated functional test systems. These systems implement automated test process control, resource management, DBMS connection management and test code support. Practical system running shows that the function and performance of this framework satisfied the requirements in DBMS development.
