The predictive control based on differential evolution is researched after the normal predictive control studied. Differential evolution is one kind of colony evlutionary algorithms which has many advantages such as global optimum and information recorded. Robust and fast convergence which the produce of industry needs can be achieved when the predictive control is optimized by differtial evolution. The object of the control is the flow system of the Rare earth extraction which the simulation is based on.This paper focuses on the following aspects.Firstly, the predictive controller is designed based on differential evolution. The DMC (Dynamic Matrix Control,DMC) controller is designed for the reasons that the production of industry is a big inertia, purely delay and misalignment system. Theoretical analysis and simulation show that predictive controller can control the flow system with limited. And through the designing of the predictive controller based on differential evolution, the tracking of the flow is better and the control system contain better control performance. And the prediction step, the control optimal step and the weighting matrix are optimized.Secondly, the model of control object is modeling. The flow system is an important part of the rare earth extraction. Precise and stable feeding flow is the important for the quality of the rare earth extraction. It is prcondition that the modeling of control object. Through analysing the equation of the flow system, the model of control object and the flame are got. The components of the control model are the signal input, linear displacement of transmission mechanism of stepping motor, the flow output and the feed back control of turbine flowmeter.Finally, the predictive control based on differential evolution is applied itself to the flow system of the rare earth. the classics PID (Proportion Integration Differentiation), the controller of fuzzy self-adaptive PID, and the predictive controller based on differential evolution are designed. Through the simulation analysis, the controller of fuzzy self-adaptive is designed for the reason that when the system which applies the classics PID control once is received by the outside disturbance, because the PID control's algorithm is fixed, which can't be unable to automatically adjust the PID parameter. The major characteristic of this method was that the flow control system had the better intelligence, and could automaticly control PID parameter. Simulation results shows that the flow system of the rare earth extraction can be controlled by the predictive controller based on differential evolution. And the control system can obtain better control performance.Through the theoretical study and simulation analysis in this paper, the rare earth extraction can be controlled by the predictive controller based on differential evolution. And the control system can obtain better control performance and rubostness. The paper validates the effectiveness of this method and proposes a novel method for the flow system of the rare earth extraction.
