Research Of ARM Based Embedded Linux Development Platform

The embedded technology, based on ARM processor and embedded Linux operating system, has been widely used in various fields. Along with the unceasing enhancement of the ARM processor's performance,the development platform based on ARM will be more and maer.The all provides abundant periphery interface,and the display device uses touch screen which is very popular.This thesis realize ARM processor centered embedded systems software and hardware solution, porting Linux to support S3C2400.It utilized of SAMSUNG's S3C2400 as the central processor and DM9000A, a highly integrated chip, as ethernet interface.It also provided UART port and LCD port.U-Boot is adopted in systems as Bootloader, and it customize and port Linux operating system to the hardware, and also add hardware driver into Linux kernel,including ethernet interface driver and LCD interface driver. The 2.6.22 version kernel run stable in hardware. At last,this thesis write a simple application displayed on the LCD.The experimental results show that the embedded systems is very stable and useful.It has important reference value for the other one.
