The fieldbus technology was developed for its good solution to the control system of digital communication problems in the 1980s, which has also important influences in the distributed control system industrial field, so it has been widely used. The fieldbus technology has solved the communication between I/O modules, field instruments and the digital actuator, which makes detection device and sensor technology truly became a part of the control system.Meanwhile, the domestic and foreign control equipment manufacturers also successively developed different field bus. With productions of control field such as PLC, SCADA and other technology continues to mature, many buses was expanded, but it was so difficult to form a unified standard in these field bus. This appearance from has affected the fieldbus' further popularized. Which is concerned that for many enterprise the equipment system position is more decentralized due to various reasons, meanwhile, the business enterprise inside different equipment also utilized different control system that the position of various equipment, scattered monitoring system of distributed control environment was absolutely caused.The paper begins with the coal mine integrated automation, real-time communication etc face problems, focuses on the network control and information integration technology in relevant control field. Based on the distributed environment with different structure and multi-protocol, we draw the conclusion that OPC is so meaningful for this environmental. On this basis, this paper introduces the technical specification and development modes of server and client of OPC. Thus the communication protocol into all kinds of equipment, to realize data sharing of information and reach a level of "plug and play" in equipment. For the system, pointed out the direction of upgrading and avoid unnecessary blind investment.
