As China's economic and social development and progress, the Government continues to strengthen environmental legislation, the product life cycle become shorter, the rapid development of network marketing, the status of the buyer become higher in supply chain,. These factors facilitated the emergence of reverse logistics and rapid development. The reverse logistics enterprises have gradually become an important factor in which impact the sustainable development, the competitiveness and the customer's satisfaction of enterprises, how to build a reverse logistics system has become the top priority for many enterprises.This article research on reverse logistics systems on an important aspect:network design and optimization. First of all, the paper introduces the relevance of the concept of reverse logistics, then, analysis the process of the reverse logistics system, and the differences between reverse logistics system and logistics system, as well as the development of Witness simulation technology. then, the papers were being logistics and reverse logistics network of independent and integrated forward logistics to reverse logistics network objects, analysis the two types of reverse logistics network design and optimization of the main contents of the two types of summary reverse logistics network design and optimization of the characteristics respectively. Then on this basis, the author use Witness simulation software design and optimization of the model, constructing a kind of reverse logistics network design and optimization of simulation models and simulation software comes with use Witness the optimizer to solve, two examples are given respectively. Finally, the paper gives four strategic proposals and connotation of a strategy focused on the analysis and implementation to enterprise which use Witness simulation tools to solve the reverse logistics network design and optimization problem from the perspective of business.In this paper, the main contribution to the work are as follows:First, using Witness simulation method to solve the reverse logistics network design and optimization problems, to overcome the defect of traditional mathematical programming, and some other similar problems; Second, being in the research on the reverse logistics network design and optimization problem, the author solve the multi-level, multi-stage closed-loop structure issue At the same time. We found use this way to solve such a complex simulation of the problem means is very effective and superior; Third, based on reverse Logistics and forward logistics, reverse logistics and independent integration of the comparative analysis of reverse logistics, summed up the independent integrated reverse logistics and reverse logistics network design and optimization features. This article use Witness simulation method to solve the reverse logistics network design and optimization models and strategies were studied. I hope this article on the reverse logistics network design and optimization of the content would be able to help the enterprises to set up reverse logistics systems.
