Integration Study On Universal Design For Interactive Digital Television In China

So far, we are standing in the transition line -- from analog signals TV to interactive digital TV. Broadcasting net, telecommunication net, and internet net --"threes nets integrate into one" period will comes to us. This paper called "Integrated Research on Universal Design for Interactive Digital Television in China", which the study object is the interactive digital television added the concept of universal design. We try to give a general solution of IDTV using for more people in a bigger human society field, achieve the target of designing for people of all abilities.The first chapter will explain the essence of this paper; introduce the definitions of the concepts, the history of IDTV, IDTV developing situation in different countries, the method of the research, resource of the references and etc. In the second chapter, we will discuss the general situation and strategic layout of IDTV industrial in the macro angle. In the third chapter, the IDTV system principle, the structure of IDTV system prototype and DVB standard such these technical concepts will be described. Chapter four will give the explanation the universal design, the history and definition of this term. We will also interpret seven basic universal design principles and relative evaluating factors. In the fifth chapter, we will discuss the universal design application in IDTV, according to the contents of chapter three and chapter four. In the next two chapters, two subsystems-VOD system and T-learning system will be discussed. We will analysis and research the system prototype and optimized solutions of these two subsystems in universal design method, extending possibility of IDTV. Teletext system and relative universal design guideline will be discussed in chapter eight, and chapter nine explores an initial principle for IDTV input and output universal design. The final chapter gives the general conclusion that based on above seven chapters'contents.
