Asp.net-based Office Automation System Design And Realization

Rapid development of Internet provides technical guarantee for information exchange and teamwork, and also brings opportunities for development of office automation. Establishing office automation system (OAS) with advanced technology is of good practical significance and broad application prospective in maximizing work efficiency and improving office quality.Based on analysis of different system requirements of two kinds of staffs, such as general clerk and administrator, the designed OAS includes front end(Clerk Login System) and background (Administrator Login System). The Clerk Login System includes the following functions: Distribute and examine the document information; modify his personal basic information;check staff position opportunity and department information; nominate and examine excellent employees'information; send and receive short messages among the employees and receive public notice. While the background Administrator Login System includes the following functions: verify, publish and delete public notices; add, delete, modify and check the staff information, position and department information; check and delete short messages; manage the staff's working status and account information.In order to implement the OAS, we adopt B/S structure and relational database as the development platform.The developing environment is Microsoft Development Kit--Visual Studio 2008 and NET Framework 4.0, and programming language is C#. We select SQL Server 2008 as our database and Internet Information Server 6.0 as our web server, combined with the Three-layered Framework Model, which makes the assignment clearer and more convenient to maintain and update the system.Based on the analysis, we have implemented and tested all the functional modules, and commissioning operated the system. The results show that the system offers an convenient means of communication within the organization, makes the daily management more scientific and staff management more efficiently.The staff can also learning about their working information in time through the Internet. And what's more, plenty of time is saved and the working efficiency is improved.
