| With the rapid development of communication technology, the communication system isbecoming more and more complicated, the problem we faced now is several systems such as2G, 3G and LTE for using is the same time, which needs more requirements for base stationantenna. The mobile operators hope the antenna can be used in many frequency bands inorder to cut down the cost of building new base station for the purpose of many standardsused in the same time. As a result, this paper applies to design and investigate ofmulti-standard base station antenna.Firstly, this paper summarized the features of 2G,3G and LTE system and the state andtrend of multi-standard base station antenna. Then explained the base principles of antennaand the problems meet in array antenna. In this paper, we ticked off several most commonschemes for multi-frequency antenna and simulated the nested scheme. And next step, wechoose the side-by-side scheme to design the antenna after analyzing the fault of nestedscheme. And we proposed the two kinds of array schemes, integrated and segregated. And inthis paper, we simulated the center arrangement and the staggered arrangement. In the last, wemade the antenna according to the scheme of integrated center arrangement after analyzingthe each scheme's simulation results and changed the length of cable in order to get thevertical pattern beam forming in the process of manufacturing the antenna.Finally, we measured electrical performance of this antenna, compared and the testedresults and simulated results. The test results consistent with the simulated results, which gotthe purpose of investigating this paper. |
