The research topic of this article is the energy saving technology of switching power supply. The energy saving of switching power supply is to improve the efficiency of switching power supply. Energy saving and environmental protection in today' s is more and more attention by the people. The reasonable use of electric energy is also very important. Switching power supply has the advantages of small volume, high efficiency, energy saving and can protect the environment. At present, the application of switching power supply is more and more extensive. Switching power supply is high frequency, miniaturization, but also existing energy loss.This subject introduces the basic knowledge of switching power supply, including the switching power supply principle, development status, composition, characteristics, classification, basic circuit structure, energy loss analysis of switching power supply. The main energy loss of switching power supply is switching loss, loss of transformer and rectifier loss. The method of reduce the switching loss is soft switching technology. The switching losses of switching power supply can be reduced to zero In theory. The method of reduce the loss of transformer is improve the transformer of switching power supply. Including the selection of magnetic material, the structure of core, the shape of the coil and winding method. The method of reduce the rectifier loss is synchronous rectifier technology and module sleeping technology. Synchronous rectifier technology can substantially reduce the rectifier loss of switching power supply in low voltage. Module sleeping technology can adjust the number of rectification module from the output power of the rectification module.By the method of above,the loss of switching power supply is greatly reduced. In order to adapt to the requirements of energy saving and environmental protection, people should use the method comprehensive according to the situation.
