MIMO (Multiple-Input-Multiple-output) technology, which features a very high bandwidth efficiency can achieve high-speed information transmission, increase the channel capacity and channel reliability and reduce error rates and improve wireless communication system performance even if the band-limited, in line with NGN (next generation network) for high-speed communication requirements. And there have been many studies on the application of MIMO system. OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing) technology, with the characteristics of combat multipath fading has wide range of applications, such as audio and video broadcasting and wireless LAN standard. And the OFDM technology is likely to become an important technology in the NGN. Obviously, the advantages of combining the two technologies have been applied to the NGN have become the hot topic of today's research.MIMO-OFDM is very sensitive to time and frequency offset, so MIMO-OFDM synchronization is particularly important. For MIMO-OFDM Systems, the author:1) described the development of mobile communication system overview and characteristics of each period.2) MIMO-OFDM system is given a model, and the analysis of synchronization issues.3) Given several classical MIMO-OFDM synchronization.4) A new Synchronization method for distributed MIMO-OFDM system.
