Large rotating machine is the key equipment in national production and people's daily life, it is of great significance to carry out modern condition monitoring and fault diagnosis for such equipment, in order to protect its long-term stability and safe operation, and then to protect the rapid development of the national economy and the stable of people's daily life. In the background of the National Hi-tech 863 Project "Study of the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technologies and system for the Supercritical and ultra supercritical large turbine-generator unit (Grant No.: 2008AA04Z410)", this thesis studied the data acquisition system in the condition monitoring system of large rotating equipment, such as large turbine-generator unit. Analyzed the requirements of the large rotating machine condition monitoring system. Specially studied the full cycle data acquisition technology for rotor vibration signals. And on this basis, a data acquisition system for large rotating machine condition monitoring based on FPGA and PC 104 was developed, using modern electronic measurement technologies like FPGA technology and A/D convertion technology. The system has the ability to acquire various types of mechanical status signals, including:rotor vibration signals and key phase signals, slowly-varying signals and switch signals, and it has several advantages, such as small size, powerful, modular, scalable, and so on. The main study works and chapter arrangement of this thesis are as follow:In chapter one:Described the important significance of the study on condition monitoring system for large rotating machine, analyzed the importance of the data acquisition system in machine condition monitoring, introduced the development process of data acquisition system and the development overview of the condition monitoring and fault diagnosis technology in domestic and foreign. Presented the project background and the study content of this thesis.In chapter two:Analyzed the status characteristic parameters of the rotating machine, designed the overall program of the data acquisition system, the system could meet the data acquisition requirements of various types signals, such as rotor vibration signals and key phase signals, slowly-varying signals and switch signals. Introduced the theories and methods of data acquisition, and the FPGA technology and PC 104 bus technology, used in the system. Finally the full cycle data acquisition technology for vibration signals was specially studied.In chapter three:Designed the overall program of the rotor vibration signals'data acquisition system for large rotating machine, analyzed the characteristics of using eddy current sensor to measure rotor vibration signals, developed the pre-processing circuit for vibration signals and key phase signals, developed the FPGA-based multi-channel synchronous full cycle data acquisition card for vibration signals. Analyzed the card's hardware and software design, discussed the hardware components'selection and circuit design method, detailedly analyzed the design plan of each module of the control software. Developed a testing software for the vibration signals data acquisition card using Lab VIEW language.In chapter four:Designed the overall program of the data acquisition system for slowly-varying signals and switch signals, developed the FPGA-based data acquisition card for these signals, discussed the card's hardware and software design program, detailedly analyzed the design plan of the hardware circuit and control software, a testing software for this data acquisition card was also developed using Lab VIEW language.In chapter five:Using signal generators, oscilloscope, industrial control compu-ter and some other equipments, a testing system for the data acquisition system developed was built. Carried out a series of testings for the vibration signals and key phase signals pre-processing circuit, the FPGA-based multi-channel synchronous full cycle data acquisition card for vibration signals, and the FPGA-based data acquisition card for slowly-varying signals and switch signals, analyzed the testing result. Finally, introduced the application of the data acquisition system in TSI.In chapter six:Summarized the work of this thesis and proposed the future work.
