Abstract/Summary:
Digital Signal Generator is a new signal source in Frequency Synthesis domain with the rapidly development of computer science and micro-electronics. For the system clock frequency is the "heart" of modern electronic systems and one of the key parameters which could determine the performance of the system, the main trend in Frequency Synthesis is to study high performance Direct Digital Frequency Synthesizer. Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis (DDS) is a new generation of Frequency Synthesis method, because of the high performance in accuracy and stability, which has been widely used in Radar, Communication, Automation domain, and it has a broad application prospects. So, this article uses DDS technology to build a portable digital signal generator system.The main task of this paper is to design a digital signal generator system based on DSP, DDS and USB2.0. The system has characteristics of highly integrated, low cost, simple, easy to use, highly scalable, and so on. The circuit uses AD9854as the output, and TMS320F2812as the control chip of the system to realize the function of signal generator and data acquisition, and USB2.0chip CY7C68013A as the interface of DSP and the host computer, also LabVIEW to control the communication between DSP and host computer.This article analyzes the characteristics of the signal generator system, operates method, chip select, system reliability research, etc, and expounds the implementation from the aspect of the key technology, hardware circuit design, system reliability design. From the application engineering point of view, this paper analyzes the signal generator system based on DSP and DDS, described the system development process, circuit schematic, design procedure, reliability design, system debug and result analysis. The design simulate the key signals on the signal generator circuit board using IBIS models of ICs, and modify the design according to the result of simulating, after that, the digital system can improve the ability of anti-jamming. According to the test result of the digital signal generator system designed in this paper achieves the expected target, this paper realizes the function of direct digital frequency synthesizer based on DSP and DDS chip. The system is simple to design, low cost and easy operation that can be used as a simple test platform.
