A central problem in contemporary epistemology is that Gettier's counter-examples challenge tranditional JTB definition of knowledge, that is, " knowledge is justified ture belief". Gettier problem is known as Luck knowledge, illustrating that some cases correspond with JTB but still not constitute knowledge. Contemporary epistemology make efforts to solve the Gettier problem and redefine better definition of knowledge. In this process, two major academic schools named Internalism and Externalism are founded. Internalism includs foundationalism and coherentism, and Externalism mainly represented by the reliabilism.Ernest Sosa is father of Virtue Epistemology. By transforming "virtue" concept from ethics, he uses "intellectual virtue" concept to replace justification, and aims at reconciling the conflict between Internalism and Externalism. In his present study, he focuses on aptness which is a matter of degree in animal knowledge and reflective knowledge. Apt belief and reflective knowledge must be derived from intellectual virtue. From Sosa's point of view, Gettier problem can be better solved on the basis of Virtue Epistemology. This paper attempts to deconstruct Gettier problem, and make a review of Internalism and Externalism. On this basis, we dedicate to introduce Ernest sosa's virtue epistemology:first, we analyze key concepts such as apt, performance and safety; second, we aim to clarify the distinction between two kinds of knowledge; third, we establish a cognitive model of virtue-based epistemology to resolve Gettier problem and to give a reasonable interpretation of knowledge.
