With the coming of knowledge-based economy, the status of knowledge has been greatly raised. Definitely, knowledge is productivity;knowledge is the ability of competition. It is well known that we should treat knowledge as any other assets, rein, manage and use it. But, knowledge is not like traditional assets, such as land, machine equipment and capital, it is not has shape, can not be valued, and not manage-friendly. Simultaneity, the processes of knowledge-making and knowledge-sharing are intangible activities, and they can not be supervised and forced by outside power. What is the knowledge possessed by organization? How can organization make knowledge? How can the organizational knowledge be shared? The research of organizational knowledge based organizational epistemology becomes the important problem of improving organizational competition ability.Knowledge has already become the power of economy improving, the most important production element of organization and the source of competition ability. We need the further research of organizational epistemology in order to improve the management of organizational knowledge. At this situation, numerous domestic and overseas epistemology researcher and enterprise manager seek after how to establish a kind of organizational epistemology use the system theory and method. Providing a guidance theory for the enterprises' knowledge management to face the challenge of knowledge based economy.This thesis provided a deep research of organizational epistemology, pointed out the informationlization of society lead to the birth of organizational epistemology. Expatiated the characteristics of organizational epistemology by analyzing organization cognition process. The thesis analyzed the making, transforming and sharing knowledge in the organization. Finally the thesis introduced two kind of organizational epistemology applications in the organization management activities.
