Chongqing is speeding up the completion of "an important growth pole in western region", "the economic center of Yangtze River, the comprehensive transportation hub", "highland of opening in inland of China". With the help of those historic opportunities, Logistics ushered a new stage of rapid development in Chongqing. In this stage, the building of basic constructions, the expansion of scale, economics enhancement, clustering effect, and the gravity of local logistic enterprises are rapid developed. As a result, local logistic enterprises get better choices to improve and upgrade with better supporting of economic, more prosperous of market demands, faster development of works, and better of quality and efficiency. Meanwhile, local logistic enterprises in Chongqing, which are"great number, small scale, scattered, weak capacity,"are facing with much more challenged such as to meet adjustment of the economic structure and the improvement of consumption levels, to improve the capacity of competition and information technology, to survive in competitions with domestic and foreign logistic enterprises.This paper is researching on how to achieve business development and to win the market competition for local logistic enterprises in Chongqing in the new situation. Based on the improving of competitive advantages and core competences of local logistic companies, by comparing the theory and the competitive capacity of logistic enterprises in developed countries and regions, learning the competitive thinking ways, and drawing on good business experiences, this paper summarizes competitive issues of local logistic companies'core competences with the SWOT analysis of local logistics enterprises in Chongqing, and gets a consequence that local logistic enterprises must closely rely on the local geography, resources, channels, policies and other advantages to make up for its aspects in information, technology, network, personnel and others of the vulnerable and inadequate to deal with competitions in the future, and continue to enhance competitive advantages of core competitiveness as a general idea. Further, local logistic enterprises need competitive strategies, such as resource supporting, integration and advantages of three major logistics companies, to integrate basic cluster resources, to improve key operational capacity, to build integrated business systems, to cooperate with foreign giants, to develop industrial clusters Union and to cultivate core competitiveness. Finally, the paper provides an empirical basis for researching by analyzing the business case of local logistics in Chongqing, describing the competitive ideas and strategy selection in the new situation.
