In the post-crisis era, along with the fluctuations of exchange rate, rising costs of labor and raw materials, domestic enterprises, especially export-oriented manufacturer are facing difficulties of papery profits, OEM production does not cope with the current competition situation, the industrialist share a common view is "China's industrial upgrading is required to upgrade the process of machining from coarse to fine, and upgrade to the research and development". Many enterprises choose the upgrade mode that from OEM to ODM. The core competence of the ODM enterprise is product development, and risk assessment as an essential part of product development plays a vital role in the project management.So far the research of risk assessment focused on construction projects'risk assessment, and the research of risk assessment about product development are rare now, and that the risk assessment research about domestic product development in ODM business is still in the blank. Therefore, this theory analyzed the characteristics of the product development based on the relevant risk management in ODM business, and studied the risk assessment of product development in ODM companies.Thesis research is outlined as follows:First, the paper introduced the status of application and theoretical research about product development risk assessment in home and abroad, and combed the theories related to product development risk assessment in ODM business, carried out in order to provide the theoretical support of product development risk assessment.Secondly, the paper described problems of risk assessment in the ODM business, and sorted the concern of the risk assessment in terms of ODM enterprise's products development. According to selection principle of risk assessment index, the ODM business product development risk assessment index system was constructed.Third, the risk assessment is solved by the current methods commonly used. Several features and multi-criteria characteristics of the method have been done for a comparative analysis in product development risk assessment. The paper put forward the model risk evaluation in product development that based rough-triangular fuzzy number method (R-TFN) method. The paper detailed description the process of solution on rough-triangular fuzzy number method (R-TFN) based product development risk assessment follow after. Finally, the research result was applied to product development project risk assessment of A product in H Company. According to the steps, this article carried out target attribute reduction, and simplified index assessment and prioritization, in order to determine the influence degree of the various risk factor of product development project. Validate our proposed ODM product development enterprise risk assessment index system of scientific and R-TFN method is feasible. Through the application,the scientific of the ODM business product development risk assessment index system and the feasibility of R-TFN method are demonstrated.
