It is a basic situation that the late developing tourism area exists and has unlimited potentiality for development of tourism industry, along with the expansion and in-depth study of development in the late developing tourism areas, as one of the advantages of late developing, tourism policy has been drawing more and more social attention. For the reason of the complexity of the tourism industry itself, and the stage jumping during the developing process, there is a lack of systematical study of tourism policy both in reality and theory. Especially the absence of the basic law of tourism industry makes it an empty space in tourism development.In this thesis tourism policy in late developing tourism areas is studied from the systematical point of view, and importance of this late developing advantage to the development of tourism industry in the late tourism developing areas is discussed through the stating of formulation, implementation, evaluation and feedback mechanisms of the tourism policy system. Taking the situation of Zixi County in Jiangxi Province, the content of tourism policy as well as its effect has been analyzed, and suggestions been brought up, which is of great help for the other late developing tourism areas to draw the experiences and sum up their shortcomings in the related aspects.Based on above, and combining the background of the overall tourism development in which the tourism policy of late developing areas exists, as well as the characteristics of the late developing tourism area itself, a series of suggestions on tourism policy in such area has been aroused in hoping of offering references to help the decision making in tourism development.
