With the development of non-material cultural heritage activities, many ethnic festivals gained unprecedented attentions and were carried out a variety of research and exposition by scholars, and were given a variety of practices by the public, such as the declaration of non-material cultural heritage projects, the development of folk tourism for festivals and so on. As the state legislature has carried out the measure of legalizing the traditional holidays of Han nationality, such as Ching Ming Festival, Dragon Boat Festival, Mid-Autumn Festival and so on, the traditional festivals are being concerned from top to bottom. However, apart from these sports, there are still many ethnic festivals which haven't caught this "Train". What will their fate be? Will they therefore become depressed? The answer is "no", because they are the local people's own festivals.This paper is to interpret the festival ceremony, explore the relationship between festival and people, that is, the significance of festivals to the local people, with the researching methods of folklore and anthropology, focusing on the field survey, combined with the local literature to describe the cases and through the threshold theory and the carnival theory. The main parts of the article are as follows:First, by literature collection, it is to describe the context of Naoyu festival, that is, Liangshuang villiage where the Naoyu festival of the Miao ethnic group in Rongshui take place, mainly on the detailed introduction of the marriage customs of the Miao ethnic group and the life in Liangshuang villiage, laying the basis for the following discussion. Second, it is to describe the Naoyu festival from the full scale, that is, from the origin, the content to the modern continuation of the festival, by deep description and through participating observation and deep interviews; it is to have an ethnographic record and research on festival and show the content of festival activity from the vertical and the horizontal perspective, providing material for the following discussion of festival ceremony. Third, it is to interpret the festival ceremony through the use of threshold theory and the carnival theory. First of all, it is to uncover the symbolism in the festival ceremony by analyzing it; in addition, through the discussion of festival function and the analysis of the characteristics of carnival in festival ceremony, it is to point out the carnival world feeling that people obtain in the festival, explore the relationship between festival and people, and its significance to people. The topic of "The Investigation and Study of Liang Shuang Naoyu Festival of Rongshui in Guangxi" is to discuss the relationship between festival and people by demonstrating the case of Naoyu festival, providing a reference to the development of the ethnic traditional festivals. At the same time, thinking the relationship between festival and people and starting from the needs of the people is the fundamental cause of festival development. In the rapidly changing modern society, the minority compatriots regulate their life and emotions through the festivals and find their own suitable way, which the modern life and modern people should learn from.
