Thanks to the rapid economical development for years, China has become the second largest entity in the world. Meanwhile, there come the high rescource consumption and serious environmental pollution. By the year of 2011, China has beome the second largest country of rescource consumption, for example, China's unit energy consumption of GDP is four times of USA, 7.7 times of Germany and 11.5 time of Japan. Developing Green Credit might be an important way to realize the constant development of Chinese economy and the harmonious development of economy and environmental protection. In recent years, some developed countries have been in search of the harmonious development of economy, society and environment and have also won some successful experiences. Although China starts late in this field, we have been studying and searching for the methods that suit our reality. Corresponding policies are being improved, new results are coming out in relevant departments and industries, especially Green Credit in banking has made great progress in supporting the energy saving and environmental protection.Even though the commercial banks in our country have gained some achievements in Green Credit, there are still some shortcomings. The paper investigates the particular cases of Green Credit of commercial banks in seven aspects of executive measures, professional institutions and information announcement and so on. The paper also analysizes the shortcomings of Green Credit in commercial banks of China. Chinese commercial banks should carry out and innovate Green Credit and take measures to control the arising risks. The paper draws on the international successful experiences and the realistic situation in China to analysize the innovation and risk control of Green Creidt. It reflects on the long-term strategies of Green Credit development of commercial banks.
