Study On Transformation Of Folk Culture In The Western Hubei Tujia Minority

The paper takes the changes of folk culture in Shemihu village Lai-feng County Hubei province as a research object, basically adopts the research methods of document study and field research, through researching the literature material of Tujia's folk culture to obtain the cognition of Tujia's folk culture. At the same time, the author gets the first-hand material by field research of Shemihu village to grasp the evolution towards of tujia's folk culture. The paper studies the changes of Tujia's folk culture in Shemihu village since the reform and opening from the three aspects of material folk, social customs and spiritual folk, which tries to use the theories of domestic and international cultural changes and relevant folk theory to analyze and interpret the causes of changes of Tujia's folk culture.The paper includes seven parts:The introduction to this topic part, the author first showed the causes of selecting topic and the significance of the research; Next, introduced the related theories and methods that this paper in writing process involved in the changes of domestic and foreign culture and folk cultural transformation and so on; And hackled the research works and research papers of tujia's culture, finally illustrated the research methods and the innovative points of the paper.The first chapter, talked about the overview of Shemihu village. The chapter introduced the natural ecological environment and the humanities social environment of Shemihu village. The author introduced the natural ecological environment of it from its location and natural ecological environment; and also introduced its social and environmental conditions from its historical evolution and the clan source of Peng.The second chapter introduced the changes of material folk in Shemihu village. The chapter expounded the changes of material folk in Shemihu village basically from the material production folk and material life customs. And analyzed the changed of material production in Shemihu village from the agricultural folk and traffic folk of Tujia.; and also from the changes of Tujia's dressing, eating and living customs to describe the folks of material life about it.Chapter 3, talked about the changes of social customs in Shemihu village. The chapter analyzed the changes of social customs in Shemihu village basically from life rites and festivals. The author introduced the changes of life rites in the village from Tujia's birth customs, marriage customs and funeral rites; and analyzed the changes of festival customs through the changes of Tujia's festivals such as"Gan-nian", Apr. 8, the dragon boat festival and Yueban Jie in Shemihu village.Chapter 4 introduced the changes of spirit folk in Shemihu village. The chapter analyzed the changes of spirit folk in the village basically from Tujia's folk beliefs and folk arts. The author analyzed the changes of folk beliefs from ancestral faith and king worship of Tujia in Shemihu village; and introduced the changes of their folk arts from tujia's waving dance, Ma dance and Xi-nan-ka-pu.Chapter 5, talked about the reasons of folk cultural changes in Shemihu village. The chapter analyzed in detail the internal and external factors that it influences the changes of folk cultures in Shemihu village.
