The Study On Consumption Stucture Of Rural Residents In Ningxia

It has been thirty years since reform and opening-up in China. During this period, China's rural has been undergoing earthshaking change, Ningxia is no exception .As an important item to balance the quality of life out of rural residents, and consumption structure of rural residents has also undergone obvious change. Whether the item is reasonable doesn't only affect formulation of national policies on rural economics, but also matters the practical concern to the vital interests of farmers, even cares about setting up a harmonious society.In the basis of consumption theory, the paper looks on consumption structure as the research object and studies consumption structure of rural residents in Ningxia. From income and expenditure perspectives , it qualitatively analyzes consumptive status nowadays and influential factors affecting on consumption expenditure .Then use empirical analysis method, adopt ELSE model and improved GSM model to empirically estimate elasticity coefficients of consumption constructive ,in return, gives out factors sort influencing on consumption spending.Elasticity analysis comes to conclusions that firstly, food consumption as basic consumption, its price have produces obvious change to other types of consumption goods, what's more, the demands of traffic communication, culture-education-entertainment, living and medical care consumption will be heavily needed by rural residents and will be hotspot in future . Last and foremost, food's price change will ignite important influence on demand of other commodities. In hence, stabilizing prices, especially prices of agricultural products are helpful to improve consumption level of rural residents.The correlation degree analysis draw a conclusion that traffic-communication is No 1 among all sorts of items of correlation degree on consumption spending , living ,foods, miscellaneous and culture education entertainment are in the middle, family equipments ,clothes and health care are in the bottom of the list. Meantime, values of their correlation degrees don't have apparent difference. It is predicted that the consumptive ratios out of traffic-communication, living, miscellaneous and culture-education-entertainment are increasingly high in the consumption spending. And through appropriate policies guiding, some items which consumption aren't smooth will be hotspot in future.According to the above research results, give out strategies and suggestions on enhancing consumptive level and optimizing consumption structure of rural residents in Ningxia. Relevant strategies are following: increase peasants'income and improve consumptive need's level; strengthen the construction of infrastructure and optimize consumption structure; change consumptive concepts and enforce rational consumption consciousness; perfect social security and enlarge rural consumption loan to supply indemnification for promoting consumption out of rural residents; development of rural consumer credit, promote consumer confidence. Hopefully these suggestions can offer support and helpfulness to economics construction in Ningxia.
