The Multi-contracts Management Research On The Corning Display Technology Project

The execution of the construction engineering is a large and systemic engineering, which should be managed and supervised systemically. The task of project management is to complete the project with limited resource and money, using fee as minimum as possible and as fast as possible.Since the end of 70s of last century, and with the development of Chinese economy opening up and innovation, some foreign engineering consulting company joined in Chinese construction market. After thirty years'development, project management, as one of the subject of literature, have had a rapid development; especially, since China entered into WTO, China have developed many large and more complicated construction projects in succession, in this case, there is more advanced requirements to project manager.Contract management is the key point in project management, it exists in whole process of construction project, especially for those professional project management companies, contract management is the core during its project execution; on the one hand, project management companies shall perform the relevant responsibility and obligation under the prime contract, on the other hand, project management companies shall perform the management of subcontracts and manage the risk arising from subcontracts.This thesis is take Corning Display Technology project as the example, according to international engineering project management experience, start from project contract overall plan to the whole process of project contract management, summary up the concern point in the every phase of contract management.This thesis introduces the basic information of the project, summaries up the project management, including prime contract management, every subcontract plan, and subcontract management.Finally,this thesis put forward the idea of contract management in the international engineering project, discuss the skills of contract management, and raise that professional project management companies and contractor who executes the international engineering project shall enhance the contract management.
