Under the integration of VMI(Vendor-managed Inventory) and TPL(Third-party Logistics), when automobile manufacturer chooses TPL to implement Milk-run in the supply chain, TPL divides suppliers into several groups according to their geographical distribution and parts quantity, then arranges Milk-run routes for each group. In fact, Milk-run is operated as a chain, so the pickup time for each supplier is affected by its upper supplier's completion time on their Milk-run route, and in turn to influence the next supplier's pick up time. Finally, the delay happened in upstream will transform and spread on the Milk-run route, and unexpectedly causes that all the parts can not reach the TPL warehouse on time, which postpones the parts'delivery to the production lines of the manufacturer, brings a substantial risk to the manufacturer, even to the whole supply chain. This thesis analyzes existing external and internal risk factors when TPL implements Milk-run for supply chain, then according to the formation and transmission characteristics of Milk-run risk, divides the risks which TPL faced with in distribution centers and each supplier into three parts: Milk-run operational risk, transfer risk and supplier's operation risk. Then, the thesis discusses automobile supply chain Milk-run risk formation mechanism under the integrated VMI and TPL. Based on these, it establishes Milk-run risk measurement model to calculate each stage's risk and the overall Milk-run risk. Furthermore, applying the TOC(Theory of Constraints) and the overall optimization theory, the thesis establishes appropriate risk control model. Finally, it puts up with Milk-run risk control strategy in four aspects: supplier's production flexibility advancement, TPL operation management capability improvement, Milk-run route optimization and information system construction. |
