In current years, a lot of big group enterprises with strong competitiveness are developed and founded in China. These group enterprises enhanced the economy structure adjustment and improved quality of economy of China. They have become the key credit customers of commercial banks. But, they have huge potential risks while they brought the big profit. Credit risk management of group customers has become one of the critical issues of banks, and it has practical meaning of the study of this issue in paper.Firstly, the paper summarized the identification and definition of group customers, and analyzed the credit risk mechanism of group them through three aspects of credit scope, cause of credit risk and characters of credit risk, then concluded the risk theory of group customers. Secondly, summarized the credit workflow of them and also expatiated in detail in specific operating steps, analyzed the credit risk management mechanism of group customers in theory, and further proposed the issues in credit risk management of group customers. Then combined with the above relative theory, this paper used an actual example of group customer credit of Tiantie Group and its core subsidiary Tianjin Steel in CCB Hebei, analyzed the specific workflow, relative risk and existing issues, systematically proposed responding risk control procedures. In this base, summarized some suggestions and methods to control the credit risk of group customers: deepen the building and maintenance of correlation relationship of group customers, detail the risk management procedure, enhance the follow-up risk management of group customers. And also actual methods propos of Credit risk management of group customers.The conclusion of the paper has great value for reference and advice for commercial banks to perfect the existing credit risk management mechanism of group customers and improve the prevention and control of credit risk of them from banks'point of view.
