The excellent management and continuous optimization of logistics and supply chain can bring huge benefits for the enterprise. With the rapid economic growth in China, the economic activity of logistics has become increasingly active. In order to reduce inventory costs and enhance efficiency of logistics operations, many enterprises have paid more attention on the role of logistics in the supply chain.Also, the ideas and management methods of on-time delivery are also used in the different manufacturing industries. Timely and efficient inbound logistics can reduce inventory, storage costs and other related service costs effectively, improve service rate, improve response capabilities and reduce waste.However, the previous optimization research of inbound logistics were mostly only for the automobile manufacturing industry, few people study inbound logistics of the electronic products manufacturing industry. Even in the electronic products manufacturing industry, most of the researches are about reverse logistics and other related issues, few people study the related issues of inbound logistics. This paper summarizes and analyzes the advanced inbound logistics management mode based on on-time delivery of each manufacturing industry. Also combined with present status of the inbound logistics for electronic manufacturing enterprises, we focus on milk-run mode and vendor managed inventory mode to analyze, and apply these two modes in electronic products manufacturing industry, set up model and analyze examples to compare the changes before and after, then give the quantitative and visual results.Milk-run mode is mainly used in the automotive industry. This paper analyzes the particularity of using milk-run in electronic manufacturing enterprises. Also build the mathematical model refer to several core variables, such as the supplier distribution density, product prices and transportation costs, then give the specific application condition which base on the control of transportation and inventory costs. And through the instance of electronic products manufacturing enterprises, data collection and analysis, we have verified the validity of the mathematical model and give reasonable direction for allocating milk-run route and selecting suppliers in the future.VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) mode is mainly used in the retail. This paper analyzed the present situation and the insufficiency of electronic product manufacturing inventory manage, qualitative analyze the feasibility of applying vendor managed inventory in the electronic product manufacturing industry. Through the support of technical team, I summed up the concrete implementation of vendor managed inventory, operated in the enterprise, received good results.
