To Develop New Business Area By Establishing Financial Leasing Platform: An Approach To Explore Synergy Through Shadow Banking

Financial Leasing is the combining activity of fund lending andobjective renting, which is closely connected with trade and technicalservices. It is one of the three most important modern financing approachesas well as bank loan, and equity financing. The modern financial leasing ofChina was appeared by the end of last century, and entered into aprosperous developing period when the banks were first allowed for entryinto financial leasing industry in the year2007. This article discussed thedefinition and characters of financial leasing, the history and stage ofoversea market and that of the domestic market. It is suggested that it ismeaningful and necessary to carry out financial leasing business activitiesfor the Pudong Development Bank in order to explore the synergy withbanking business so as to make the bank a comprehensive functioningfinancial platform. It also proposed the potential marketing orientation,business strategy, organization approach as well as risk control measures.
