Along with the rapid upgrade of relevant equipment manufacture capability for china offshore oil exploration industry. And Chinese government shows strongly determination to develop deep sea oil drilling and exploration industry in south of China sea. It means that the relevant industry chain of offshore petroleum production (including AHTS for offshore oil field) must extend from shallow water area to deep sea (500 meters----1500 Meters) even ultra deep sea (1500 meters----3000 Meters).This subject is focus on deep sea AHTS's ship model choose and investment to summarize one suitable feasibility analysis method. This feasibility analysis method will help Chinese AHTS vessel owner or management company which located in south of China sea to summarize scientific and rational analysis method avoid blindness investment decision.This article combined with current AHTS vessel market development rules. The article also introduced and analysed world deep sea oil field exploration history and develop trend and South of China sea's deep sea oil field exploration history and develop trend and basic ship model choose rules for deep sea AHTS vessel and main operators in South of China sea's requirements for AHTS vessel etc.. Focus on clients requirements in South of China sea, I made three types of investment scheme for feasibility analysis. These schemes included new build one 25000BHP deep sea AHTS vessel and purchase one second-hand 25000BHP deep sea AHTS vessel and bareboat charter one 25000BHP deep sea AHTS vessel. Through the results of economic analysis for three schemes,that can provide practicably and optimal strategy to the relevant company in the investment development.
