As the existing international monetary system, Jamaica system is also called Dollars standard system, for its Standard Currency is U.S. dollars, the credit currency. Jamaica system was developed on the basis of the Bretton Woods system, which restored the function of exchange rate adjustment, overcome all sorts of malpractices caused by the rigidities of the international fixed exchange rate system, and promoted international financial innovation, international mobility of capital and the world economy Integration to develop. However, with the depth of economic globalization, integration and regionalization, potential conflicts of Jamaica system are deepening, and the system is in urgent need of reform. The financial crisis has even demonstrated the drawbacks of the current international monetary system, more and more international conferences, financial institutions and scholars began to study the reform of the international monetary system.With the theory of the international monetary system began, this paper summarized the existing research results to form theoretical system and lay a theoretical foundation for the reform of the international monetary system. Then, summarized the history of the three types of international monetary system, analyzed the advantage and disadvantage of each type of system, and also discussed the relationship between the financial crisis spread and the international monetary system, in order to stress the need for reform of the international monetary system. Finally, analyzed each current trend in the international monetary system reform, reviewed their reasonableness and possible problems, and proposed the reference measures China can take in the reform process in the international monetary system. The innovations of my study lie in the system analysis of experiences and lessons of each form of the international monetary system and the summary of rationality and questions of each international monetary system reform trend.
