Since separation of Posts and Telecommunications in China, the Chinese telecommunications industry has undergone two stages of structural changes in national regulation and control and market-based competition. Accompanied by business development and market competition, the biggest problem that has been revealed is the growing imbalance in the development among the four major operators China Telecom, China Mobile, China Unicom and China Netcom. The development of mobile services is much higher than fixed-line, data business; the trend that the fixed mobile voice will replace the mobile voice was unstoppable. At the same time, the application of the Internet is in boom, which forms the overall impact of a huge telecommunications industry. In May 2008, a new round of telecom restructuring began. China's telecommunications industry by the size of the reorganization of the six operators was recombined to form China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, and at the same time they were issued a three 3G mobile licenses. Thus each operator began operating full-service market work. In the context of such an environment, the three operators have put in business transformation from the traditional full-service business to an integrated information service in order to respond to market pressures and the impact of the Internet application on the traditional business.Ningxia annual telecommunications market in 2008 shows the development of such a big competition environment. As far as the telecommunications branch is concerned, the advantages of the traditional fixed-line voice and PHS market have been in a gradual loss. The mobile communications services and the emerging data of the Internet business are rapidly rising and has gradually become the main source of income. In this regard, Ningxia Telecom subsidiary must play its own advantages and disadvantages, and further strengthen the operation of differentiation strategy to seek to expand the market.In this paper, first, the operating environment of the telecommunications industry are analyzed to look for opportunities and avoid risks. Second, the internal environmental analysis of telecommunications companies on the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region are carried out to definitude the strengths and weaknesses; Third, based on the analysis in the environment, the business objectives are determined and in accordance with the three conditions of competition in the implementation of the strategy, a differentiation strategy is selected as a competitive strategy of the company, focusing on analyzing and putting forward the main content and specific measures of the company's differentiation strategy. Finally, how the company makes use of the Ningxia Telecom diversified strategy to make the value-added services achieve a breakthrough and to do a good job of strategic transformation and to make business operations become integrated information service providers was discussed.In this paper, the diversified competitive strategies of telecom companies in Ningxia's development over the next few years will play an important role.
