The emergence of science norm is an essential requirement for scientific development. With the scientific progress and the relationship between science and society changes, science norm is essential to evolve. Since Merton Time, new progress has been achieved in western academics' research on science norms. Criticism and analysis on western science norms after Merton's Time are of great significance both in theory and reality.Brief review based upon the background and content of Merton's standardization of science, first this article analyze Merton standardization has received a challenge, for the time changes, scientific progress, and complication of science and social relations, and point out that the background of new progress in western science norms after Merton's Time. Review the four criticism and analysis on western science norm after Merton's Time, including Ziman's PLACE norm, norm of Barber, norm of Zurkerman, norm of Mitroff, norms of Stoller and Hagstrom and so on. This article gives us a conclusion on several reasons why science norm changed after Merton's time. It includes the changes in science research, at the mean time; the article also presents an analysis of the change in relation among politics, economy and culture, and then compared with the Merton science norms and new science normsBy analyzing the background and characteristics of western standardization of science's transition after Merton's time; combine the misbehavior in science morality, to be suggested by western science norm after Merton's time, this article tries to propose science norm which conform to china national conditions and also with Chinese characteristics.
